Friends of Die Oog
The Friends of Die Oog is a voluntary non-profit organization dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of Die Oog as a nature reserve and bird sanctuary, and a natural heritage site of the Constantia valley. The vision of the Friends is to conserve the indigenous flora and fauna and to make Die Oog a place of natural beauty and recreation for the enjoyment and enrichment of future generations.

A newsletter of activities is published quarterly.
Help is still needed The Friends welcome donations, grants and sponsorships to help maintain Die Oog and for specific projects including (a) restoration of the wall of the "ancient dam" (survey by Ackerman 1883) (b) planting of water lilies, water blommetjies and other water plants (c) reintroduction of original indigenous species in the area of granite fynbos
